Burg Vinaigres France improves production and packaging

Guided by Burg Group’s strategy framework and our mission Restoring Natural Living, we continuously work to improve our production processes and operational efficiency.

At Burg Vinaigres France, we are investing in a new blow‑molding machine as part of an ongoing project to optimize production capacity. At the same time, we are adjusting our packaging design. This project contributes to greater efficiency, lower energy consumption, and reduced use of plastic materials.

Bas Luntz, Group Procurement Specialist: “The reason for implementing the new neck finish at the same time as the new blow-molding machine is to ensure the factory only needs to be shut down once.”

Key benefits
The new blow-molding machine enables the factory to produce more bottles per hour with improved energy efficiency. The packaging adjustments also bring several benefits:

  • Less virgin plastic (new, unused plastic) is required because the bottle is lighter and, depending on the cap, less packaging material is needed.
  • The bottles are stronger, which further reduces the amount of plastic required.
  • A higher percentage of rPET (recycled plastic) is used in production.
  • Fewer transport movements are needed, contributing to a more efficient production process.

“We are proud of this project, as it aligns with our mission Restoring Natural Living and our ongoing work toward more efficient production processes and reduced use of energy and materials,” says Philippe Demarville, Plant Manager Burg Vinaigres France.

This project is co‑funded by the European Union and Région Nouvelle Aquitaine.
